With the rapid development of science and technology in transportation enterprise, continuous bridges have become one of the first selective bridge styles due to their predominance of handy construction, economical cost, reasonable internal force and comfortable traveling. Increasement of the span of a continuous bridge would lend difficulties to its construction, because more complicated factors that effect the distributions of internal force and displacement in the bridge should be taken into consideration during the course of construction. Therefore, it is necessary to make a control of the bridge under construction, in order to make the long span bridge of prestressed concrete meet the requirements of design.This study includes the following items:(1) This paper, on the basis of the construction of a certain super-large bridge with a span arrangement (90m+160m+90m), has carried out relevant researches on the construction and construction control of long-span continuous beam bridge prestressed concrete, discussed the contents and methods of bridge construction control.(2) In this paper, Dr. Bridge, a finite element software, is used to carry out corresponding numerical simulations for the above mentioned bridge. In view of the structure properties, two plane hanger finite element models were established. In this study, the forward-calculation method and the concrete shrinkage and creep theories are employed. The construction process of the long-sapan bridge with some segments cantilever casted and some segments cast-in-place is studies as well.(3) On the basis of theory bridge structure, this paper, using Dr. Bridge, has studied various states of finished bridge by means of different construction methods, In view of the numerical results, control is made during the course of the construction of the bridge. The synthetic of the numerical results and the data from bridge construction monitoring has indicated that the design, construction and construction controlling of the bridge are reasonable, and that the construction method that some segments cantilever casting but some segments cast-in-place is also reliable.The research done in this study offers a useful experience for the further development of this bridge’s design, construction and construction controlling.
