Damping force variable friction damper is the traditional friction damper only a single constant sliding friction of a new class of friction damper (such as the radial type friction damper). This combination of Pengbo Zhang and Southwest Jiao Tong University Institute of earthquake engineering of a new type of damping force variable friction damper--double stroke damping force variable friction damper load test and Research on test results, data analysis and put forward the damper hysteretic curve analysis model, and with the traditional normal friction damper, centripetal friction damper for damping effect.First of all, this thesis briefly introduces the normal friction damper and centripetal type friction damper principle of work and the hysteretic curve analysis model, and combining with the loading test put forward double stroke damping force variable friction damper hysteretic curve analysis model; then, according to the traditional seismic design method to the design of8degrees of seismic fortification grade A office buildings and the amount of steel reduced20%~30%of the office building, and through the finite element program SAP2000in the two office building of8degrees under rare earthquake fortification level of elasto-plastic time-history analysis and monotonic horizontal loads of Pushover analysis; finally, the poor seismic performance of office building as the damping structure the main structure, and combining the results of Pushover analysis to the simple shear model, combined with the performance optimization method and self VB structural elastoplastic time-history analysis program on the installation of normal friction damper, centripetal type friction damper and double stroke damping force variable friction damper damping structure in8degrees fortification grade BCJ-L2wave rare earthquake under the preliminary design, the design was performed after the following two groups comparative analysis:①respectively will install the three friction damper damping structure With the better seismic capacity is not reduced amount of steel building structure in8degrees under rare earthquake fortification level undertook comparative analysis on seismic performance.②The installation of three kinds of friction damper damping structure in8degrees fortification grade rare earthquake and earthquake were three damper damping effect comparative analysis. The results show that, were installed in three friction damper damping structure in a substantial reduction in the total volume of steel structure at the same time are obtained with traditional anti-seismic structure better seismic performance; two kinds of damping force variable friction damper under rare earthquake damping effect is slightly better than the normal friction damper, under moderate earthquake is significantly better than the normal friction damper. In the moderate and strong earthquake, double stroke damping force variable friction damper damping effect are slightly better than the centripetal type friction damper. Thus, using friction dampers on structure vibration control with conventional seismic design method have obvious advantages; damping force variable friction damper is better than the traditional friction damper under rare earthquake slight advantage, but under moderate earthquake damping effect is greatly improved; double stroke damping force variable friction damper in rare earthquake and earthquake are a centripetal type friction damper has better damping effect, the damping force variable friction damper is a worthy to be used and has a prospect of damping force variable friction damper.
