Study On Capacity Coordination And Increasing Measures Of Chengdu North Marshalling Yard

With the development of national economy,as the economical artery,the railway system got more and more importance.In the entire rail network,Chengdu hub is not only the fifth biggest one,but also the cargo hub of western region.Among the stations of Chengdu hub,as its major marshalling yard,Chengdu North station have a very important position in this hub,even in the rail network.In this paper,first,we introduced relational knowledge of marshalling yard,which primarily involved marshalling yard type,operation content,marshalling yard train traffic,the influence to marshalling yard from train traffic,marshalling yard capacity, affect factors of capacity,reinforcement measure of capacity and so on.Besides,based on the research and material of Chengdu North station,we focused on the train traffic, capacity and coordination degree of Chengdu North station.Then,according to the interrelated material from this research,this paper analyzed Chengdu North station’s heavy and empty train traffic and angular train traffic,and on this analysis,we calculated train traffic arrival situation per hour,train traffic distributed situation,train traffic arrival variation coefficient and train traffic imbalance of Chengdu North station,which fixed basis for the next consideration about capacity and coordination degree.Then, according to the research material and the data from the previous consideration,we calculated the capacity of marshalling yard using the formula based on uneven train traffic,and then,we calculated Chengdu North station’s each subsystem’s coordination degree and coordination degree quality using coordination degree model and coordination degree quality model in the normal distribution. Moreover,we found out some problems about Chengdu North station’s capacity and coordination degree.Afterwards,against these problems,this paper advanced improvements which would fit Chengdu North station in three fields:uneven train traffic, angular train traffic and capacity reinforcement.Furthermore,we tested and verified these measures’effectiveness by consideration of capacity and coordination degree.These measures and suggestions also had a certain directive function and practical significance for increasing Chengdu North station’s capacity.Finally,through the summary and forecast of this paper,we found out some achievement and effective ways that were gained in this paper.At the same time,we also found out that in this paper’s writing process,there were some deficiency in field research,material collection and coordination degree quality calculation.These shortages have cleared our target and direction in the furture.
