Solar energy is a remarkable new energy, countries all over the world have attached great importance to the study of solar technology. The solar energy industry is developing fastly in the field of high technology industry as well. LED has been widely recognized as a green lighting source in favor of energy saving and environmental protection. The combination of solar energy industry and LED industry is an inevitable trend for technological progress to promote social developments application rate in the lighting area will be raising with great speed. To response to the call of utilizing new energy and promoting the great work of energy conservation,There has been designed a set of solar LED tunnel lighting system in this paper. The design focused on the practical application of solar LED illumination in contemporary, It firstly proposed to apply high-power white LED based on photovoltaic power to tunnel illumination. It introduced the components of solar LED tunnel lighting system.Furthermore it made the selection of the various components according to the tunnel of specific specifications and location and designed the assembly mode.The paper discussed the problem of the inclination of the solar energy panels,set an automatic tracking program for the solar panels which is easy to accomplish and with great precision. Besides the paper discussed the different illumination requirements for different specifications of tunnels, and made the analysis of lighting requirement of the designed tunnel as well as designed the lighting scheme according to it’s specifications. It calculated the quantity and quality of the devices required for the illumination scheme.Produced a model of tunnel lighting system, which achieved continual lighting of24hours with the optimum ratio of solar LED lanterns. The simulation results matched the expectations. According to the experimental results,the lighting system designed in this paper has a reasonable ratio, so as it can be put into practical application.
