In recent years, China’s electricity consumption increased year after year, electricity power has become an irreplaceable energy of life. Electricity has become increasingly important role which affect socio-economic development. With the development of people’s living standards, the whole society’s safe and reliable supply of electricity demands more and more. It can be said that safe and stable operation of power and reliable power supply is the most basic requirement of the power company.And building a strong、smart grid, which is an important part of China’s "12th five years" economic and social development. In the situation of the sharp increase in the number of substations and the heavy power equipment maintenance tasks, ground mounted has become the most important barrier which protect the safety of operating personnel. Scientific and rational management of substation grounding system is particularly important.Traditional grounding system management is mainly checked by institution which is very complicated. It takes more than 15mins which can not meet the needs of efficient works in substation. In practical works, people used to produce paralysis of thought. Its importance is often overlooked. Incorrect use or omission of the ground wire is also very likely to cause power system incidents。In particular, after a long time, it can be easily lead to the current state of the ground wire can not be confirmed. It can not be able to achieve remote management of ground wire. According to statistics, the accident caused by the tradition way takes 33% of all power system fault.Based on the above truth, this project has developed intelligent grounding wire management system. It includes Infrared sensor switch, intelligent terminal, LED devices, web servers and power inverter. This system can achieve ground state lively. It also shorten the time of checking the ground wire. It also meets the real-time, remote, ground wire management needs accuratly. This way is very important to build a strong, smart grid and achieve greater economic and social benefits.
