Energy Distribution And Energy Efficiency Evaluation Study About MV "YUKUN"

With the scarcity of energy reservation and more concerns about environment, energy saving and environment protection have become top agenda all over the world. So Ocean-going vessels have been drawn lots of attention for their huge energy depletion. How to improve the energy efficiency of ocean-going vessels has been realistic top issues in shipping industry.Base on parent ship "YUNKUN", with the energy consumption as key point, elevating energy utilization efficiency as main objective and the energy distribution field as main studying object, this paper focuses on the systematic study of ship’s energy consumption distribution. In light of shortcomings of traditional energy studying method thermal equilibrium analysis for its less consideration of energy quality, this paper does a further research on ship’s energy consumption distribution field by combination of thermal equilibrium analysis method and exergy analysis method.Firstly, by introducing the meaning of analyzing on energy distribution field and current research background, this paper further illustrates the mathematic theory of thermal equilibrium analysis method and exergy analysis method respectively. Secondly,ompared with ocean-going merchant vessels, YUNKUN, as professional training vessel, enjoys the characteristics of anchoring for a long time and navigating for such a short time. Then bases on that, the energy distribution field of electricity generator and boilers on anchoring condition are analyzed simultaneously so as to draw their energy distribution figure. Thirdly, the energy distribution field and efficient energy utilization of diesel engine on navigation condition are analyzed so as to draw its energy and exergy distribution figure. Lastly, a further research on different working condition is carried out. In addition, based on energy utilization evaluating methodology, the energy utilization condition of "YUNKUN" vessel was evaluated comprehensively. What’s more, after comparing the actual operating and bench test energy distribution value, the reason for its low energy efficiency is analyzed. Then suggestions on ship’s energy management method are made in view of the researching results of this paper.Though the research of ship’s energy distribution field on this paper is fundamental, it plays a significant role in establishing energy management method of "YUNKUN" vessel, and also, lays a solid theoretical foundation for energy management method of other sea-going merchant vessels.
