In the context of decreasing traditional energy and the ever increasing environmentalpollution, solar energy has been paid attention to the whole world which has the generalfeatures such as universality, infiniteness and cleanability. Although solar energy has severaldevelopment superiorities, however, because of the low photoelectric conversion efficiencyand very expensive investment costs makes the development of photovoltaic powergeneration limited greatly. So from the aspect of improving efficiency, the paper proposes anew maximum power point control algorithm based on double fuzzy logic control, which inorder to make solar array output maximum energy under any circumstances, and it isimperative for the practical application of PV power system.At first, this article introduces the subject of the research background and significant, andanalyzes the photovoltaic power generation system composition and application. Then thispaper describes the characteristics of photovoltaic cells concluding three aspects: the workingprinciple, equivalent mathematical circuit model and output characteristic of PV cells. UsingMATLAB/SIMULINK sets up the simulation model of PV cell, and analyzes the influencewhich the illumination intensity and temperature work on the output characteristics of PV cell.On that basis, this paper introduces the MPPT working principle and implementation methodsof photovoltaic system, and analyzes the conventional MPPT control methods, at the sametime, lists the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms. There are not ignoringproblems on response slow and the maximum power point oscillation in the current MPPTcontrol application. In view of the above two problems,the double fuzzy logic the maximumpower tracking control algorithm is designed on detail, besides, the Boost converter maincircuit device parameters are calculated. At last, the MPPT control model of PV power systemare set up using the MATLAB software, and the simulation results show that there are gooddynamic response, the less oscillation, and almost no fluctuations after steady state. So MPPTcontrol based on DFLC has low tracking error and good integral effect, thus it is completelyfeasible to be applied the solar energy power generation system.
