Highway construction has been developed very rapidly since the 1988 when therewas a zero breakthroughin ourcountry. Most of the highway is asphalt pavement.Highway built in early years has been subjected to various deteriorations and wearand tear for fairly a long time, and highway maintenance is therefore a very importantjob in high-class highway management. However, asphalt pavement recyclingtechnology in our country is still in its infancy,and the research mainly focus oncommon asphalt mixture and SBS modified asphalt mixture. Etc. Meanwhile the PEmodified asphaltis related to less. Therefore, this article on PE modified asphaltmixture for the laboratory simulation of aging and regeneration, to study itsperformance.This paper mainly aims at the PE modified asphalt mixture after long-term agingand regeneration, research on the road performance, and study PE modified asphaltstill had the modification effection. To test this idea,first of all,determine gradingdesign of the PE modified asphalt mixture and the optimum asphalt content and testthe pavement performance. Secondly, do the test of laboratory simulation of aging forPE modified asphalt mixture, including short-term aging and long-term aging and testthe performanceof aging PE modified asphalt mixture pavement. Finally,do the test oflaboratory simulation of thermal regeneration for the mixture after long-term aging,using the same gradation and regeneration of the agent, the new material respectivelyusing PE modified asphalt mixture and common No. 70road asphalt mixture, study ofrecycled asphalt mixture performance in all aspects, including mechanical properties,high temperature stability, water stability and fatigue properties, and on two differentregeneration mixture performance was studied, the result showed that PE modifiedasphalt mixture performance is better than the common 70 asphalt mixture, this meansthat the PE modified asphalt mixture after aging, PE modified asphalt in a certainextent is still exerting its modification effection.
