Based on the theory of gray correlation and risk analysis, a new riskidentification model was founded to judge the risk of expressway bridge workduring construction. In this model, ideal solving method was used to quantify thehazard sources and risk assessment standards were established to judge the safetylevel of them.Identification of bridge’s risk events and major hazard sources duringconstruction taken as object, the risk identification model related with graycorrelation degree used as tool, risk safety control of engineering case duringconstruction used as the theory’s application, the paper’s object matters included:1) LEC method was used to quantify different harzard sources considering threefactors such as potential hazard, risk condition and abduction elements with differentpower. After the three factors`gray correlation degree were identified and the harzardsources were ranked based on gray correlation theory, the majior harzard sources ofbridge during construction could be identified.2)The risk assessment give consideration to both risk probability and potentiallosses. Risk probability was connected with human、machine and environment andpotential losses included casualty, economic loss and time penalty. After thecontributing factors’ powers were determined through expert inquiry, the riskassessment could be carried out in which the finning standard of risk index wasconsidered.3) A new risk assessment model was founded with ideal solving method on graycorrelation, in which relative risk degree was used to identify the safety level and anew risk identification standard was used for the overall evaluation of major harzardsources.4)The theory proposed in this paper was applied to safety control of Super bigbridge across MiLuo river in ShangPing during construction mainly throughidentification and risk assessment of the major hazard sources and determination oftheir safety level.
