The analysis of eccentric load effect of long-span cabled bridge is generally tostudy the response of the structure through the establishment of a space beam modeland local simulation model, which is based on the finite element theory. Among them,the most adverse effect of transverse load distribution is usually determined by theinfluence surface of controlling parameter of the structure. Due to the restriction ofthe structure scale, structural complexity and also the level of computing, the analysisprocess often has to become very complicated. Therefore, if not necessary, we oftenestimate the response of eccentric load effect of the bridge structure through thesimplified theory of the spatial analysis and calculation.Among the simplified theory of the spatial analysis, the eccentric load effect ofcable stayed bridge is simplified by following the term of the transverse loaddistribution principle. System combined with the collaborative carrying mechanism ofthe stiffening girder and cable in dual cable plane cable stayed bridge system, it’sbelieved that the vertical component of the transverse load through the centerline ofthe deck, is carried by the cables, and the torque component is co-carried by the girderand cables. In other words, the distribution of the transverse load between the girderand cables in cable-stayed bridge system is calculated as the term of the correctedeccentric pressure method. In this thesis, it’s to investigate the applicability of thisanalytical method with long-span hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge with high and lowtowers, taken Jingyue Yangtze river highway bridge as the research object. Properadjustments and compare is made on the calculating method of the parameters,compared with the original theory.At the meantime, the space beam model of Jingyue Yangtze river highway bridgeis established to do the numerical analysis. The analysis results are compared with theanalytic method. In addition, further discussion is made through the eccentric loadeffect research of key parts of the bridge with different load mode.At last, further compare of the accuracy and applicability is made betweenanalytic and numerical method according to the test data of eccentric load cases instatic load tests. The systematic summary on eccentric load effect of long-span hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge with high and low towers is made based on the aboveanalysis results.
