There are more and more rectangular cross-section high-rise buildings with holes, when the architectural appearances are being diversified, the shape、size and location of the holes will affect on the wind pressure of the building surface, this effect is difference in different wind field, but the research on it in the wind engineering circles is still very deficient. Based on the Fluent6.3software platform, build a typical rectangular high-rise building model with holes which was simulated under different conditions, then analysis the results. Based on this, the main work of this paper has the following several points.(1) Elaborate the blocking phenomenon which the building wind tunnel and numerical wind tunnel have in common, forward with innovative way the key problem of the blocking effect and the methods to avoid blocking in the numerical simulation of this paper.(2) In the Fluent6.3software, conduct numerical simulation to analyze the effect which the setting of holes has on the wind pressure of the same building surface at different turbulence.(3) Analyze the effect which the setting of holes has on the wind pressure of the same building surface at different integral scale.(4) Analyze the effect which the setting of holes has on the wind pressure of the building surface at different wind angles.(5) Analyze the effect which the setting of holes has on the wind pressure of the building surface at different ratios of length to width.(6) Analyze the effect which the setting of holes has on the wind pressure of the building surface at different number and position of the holes.Based on the research above, this paper gets the following conclusions:1) The effect of blockage and Reynolds number effects on the wind pressure of the rectangular building surface cannot be ignored, only the tests which conduct in different sizes of the wind tunnel can completely avoid the impact of the two.2) At different turbulence and integral scales, the setting of the holes only can significantly influence the wind pressure of the nearby measured points, the distance are almost not affected.3) In view of the models of different ratio of length to width but the same size, the effect which the setting of holes has on the measured points nearby the edges of the windward is very small to the models with large ratio of width to length, but the effect which the setting of holes has on a few measuring points nearby the middle of the windward is more obvious relative to the models with small ratio of width to length. The effect which the setting of holes has on the side surfaces decrease wih the ratio of width to length being larger.4) In view of different wind angles, the measuring points in the front and back are affected greatly when the wind angle is45degree. When the wind angle is135degree and the side inside the cave is lee-ward, the negative pressure coefficient is affected obviously, and the rate can reach20%or above.5) The setting of holes make the building static wind load decrease, and the relative magnitude of the reduce is larger than opening rate. The reason of which the wind load decreases mainly is the reducing of the wind area.
