Steel bridge deck pavement on orthotropic steel bridge deck is one of the key techniques to construct. How to prevent pavement premature failure has been received great attention and concern both from the oversea academia and engineering. Because our country steel use conditions and environment were different from overseas, especially the heavy load and overload vehicle proportion is higher, our country can not be directly applied to foreign design pattern. Therefore, how to improve China’ s steel bridge deck pavement structure durability so that the pavement service life increase, is an important and significance of the study.This article first introduced the domestic and foreign steel bridge deck pavement, summarizes the orthotropic steel deck pavement characteristics and difficulties. According to steel bridge deck pavement of the shortcomings and drawing on previous research experience, this paper puts forward a new SMA13asphalt concrete (upper)+high viscosity modified cement mortar (lower) steel deck composite pavement structure.Through the selection of materials, aggregate gradation design and mixture design in the Marshall test, SMA13is designed with good stability under heavy load and high temperature conditions.SMA13also test residual stability, freeze-thaw splitting and rutting. And analyze with the traditional hot mix asphalt and rubber asphalt mixture.At the same time, steel the steel fiber of high viscosity modified cement mortar is independently developed for orthotropic steel bridge deck pavement transition layer. By strength test, ultimate tensile strain, and fatigue performance test results, it is proved that transition layer has the rigid transition, excellent flexural performance and excellent fatigue performance.Through the ANSYS on composite pavement structure for car loads of calculation and analysis, analysis the influence of composite pavement structure stress, strain and maximum deflection, identified the most disadvantageous position under different longitudinal and lateral loading position. By allowable stress of composite, pavement bearing capacity theory design method is discussed. Relying on the dongguan round high-speed humen port extension project to test the results and check its pavement section internal force. Research Group is the combination of the local specific project case and the results of laboratory studies. And it points out that the matters of new composite pavement construction need attention and analyze the economic and social effect.
