Nowadays, with the rapid development of the economy in China, infrastructureconstruction is also growing rapidly. And the slope is inevitable in the construction of roadsand railways, the number and complexity of which cannot be predicted. So the reliability ofslope engineering cannot be ignored, and it becomes very important and urgent to study,analyze and evaluate the stability of the slope. As the material heterogeneity of the slope,there is difference in the global property of the slope. Therefore, the traditional slope safetyfactor method seems not so reasonable in evaluating the slope stability. The reliabilityanalysis method of slope stability based on stochastic theory severs as a complement to thesafety factor method. It has more realistic significance when both methods are used and it’salso a new development trend of the slope engineering evaluation.The traditional safety factor is only a constant value obtained in a deterministic method,so it fails to consider any inherent variability in the design parameters. But in fact, the safetycoefficient is a random variable determined by the variability of the design factors rather thana constant value. As a result, the minimum safety factor calculated by using the mean of soilparameters cannot reflect the real steady condition of the slope. We try to find the mostdangerous slip crack surface and calculate the minimum safety factor in this article, At thesame time analysis the soil variability influence on stability safety factor. Then the necessityof reliability analysis is further proved. The variation law of reliability and the safety factorunder different moisture content has also been studied in this article. It has certain guidesignificance to predict the slope stability state when the moisture content increases.The main contents of this article are as follows:1、Based on the need of the project “Safety Monitoring of the Deep Foundation Pit inChangchun West Railway Station ", theoretical basis and evaluation method of the existingslope theory has been summarized. Then their advantage and disadvantage have beenanalyzed. Finally the Bishop computing model and genetic algorithms have been chosen tocalculate the stability factor and reliability of the slope.2、Soil parameters test has been conducted to analyze the mean and variance of the soilparameters of the deep excavation slope in Changchun West Railway3、Establishing the Matlab computing program based on genetic algorithm to calculatethe traditional stability safety factor, make the soil parameter sensitivity analysis and the soilvariability influence on stability safety factor.4、Calculate the stability safety factor and reliability under different moisture content of the deep excavation slope in Changchun West Railway, and evaluate its reliability. At thesame time, through the variation law of stability safety factor and moisture content as well asthe law of reliability and moisture content to predicted the slope reliability under differentmoisture content.
