With the development of high-speed, long distance and overloadingof the driving synchronous belt, its dynamic characteristic analysis isparticularly important. Based on the existing physical prototype ofsynchronous belt driving and flexible multi-body system dynamicstheory, the virtual prototyping model of entity prototype wasestablished and the dynamics simulation was analyzed with the help ofRecurDyn software, thus a variety of dynamic parameters were achieved.Through the analysis of data, according to the structure and dynamiccharacteristics of the driving synchronous belt, the system wasoptimized, and achieved the purpose of reducing the vibration and noise.It provides specific guidance for the design,usage and production of theactual driving synchronous belt.The thesis summarized the development of driving synchronousbelt at home and abroad, studied the structure and performance ofdriving synchronous belt, got the static performance evaluation and testmethods of the synchronous belt, analyzed the force and mesh polygoneffect of the driving synchronous belt, and established the transversevibration model and longitudinal vibration model of the drivingsynchronous belt. Based on the theory of flexible multi-body dynamicsystems, the general form of free flexible body dynamics equation wasachieved,introducing the method of the finite segment to deal with theinfinite degree of freedom flexible body,and according to the principleof virtual displacement and d’Alembert principle.The general formanalysed the modeling method of establishing rigid-flexible couplingsystem,and laid a theoretical basis for the driving synchronous beltdynamics model and its dynamic simulation.The theory of establishing flexible multi-body dynamic model based on the infinite segementmethods, discreted the synchronous belt as rigid belt elements andflexible connections, established the virtual prototyping model andanalysed the simulation of movement process with the help of thesoftware RecurDyn, and achieved the required system dynamicparameters and dynamic parameters curve. Through the processing andanalysis of the dynamic data, combined with the structurecharacteristics and the dynamic characteristics of the drivingsynchronous belt, the model of the driving synchronous belt wasoptimized from the point of improving the start up method, avoidingvibration frequency, and adding the tensioning device as well asoptimizing the tooth shape. The simulation results showed that theoptimized design method can avoid resonance effectively, reduce thevibration, and improve the running smoothness of the drivingsynchronous belt. The work to do and further research direction on thevirtual prototype basis were concluded in the essay, in order to make thethe future study more general and close to reality.The simulation results of the virtual prototype of the drivingSynchronous belt has proved that it was feasible and reasonable usingthe method of discreting the synchronous belt as rigid belt elements andflexible connections to build the system model. The thesis presented thegeneral methods and steps to study the synchronous belt driving basedon the virtual prototype technology,which was not only a new methodfor the study of the belt transmission, but also a good solution to thedesign and use of the driving ynchronous belt in practice.
