With the development of reform and opening-up, great process has been made in China’s architecture. Especially by the increasing of steel production year by year, steel have been widely used in large-scale civil engineering of tall buildings. As the most representative system in the steel, space grid structure has a pivotal position in the large buildings at home and abroad, resulting in great concerne of a number of structural engineers and steel experts’space grid structure design. Many experts and scholars after years of unremitting efforts, assisted by the data obtained from the large number of experiments and practical engineering, and with the help of computer and other advanced technology, developed analytical methods and computing theory of the space grid structure have included in the Building Code. This paper targeted for the models built in ANSYS software, due to the different type of the selected elements, comparative analyze deflection change and leverage internal force under different loads change.In this paper, the main conlusions are the four parts as follows:First, according to the basic principles of the finite element theory, in the large-scale analysis ANSYS software, we choose different type of elements to create two models, and with a brief introduction on ANSYS analysis principles and the modeling process, have the stress analysis and comparing between two models, which the element of LINK8is used to simulate the element of pole and the element of BEAM44is used to simulate the element of beam.Second, according to the principle of statics analysis in the structural mechanicse, we should compare in the established micro-model, and then analysis of difference the two models in the static, which include analysis under the weight load, analysis under the concentrated force load, comparison between snow load and wind load. Particularly, the grid of the deflection and rod internal force, through the data and the comparison line chart, a very intuitive response of the two models by the outside world could be seen. It also can provide some experimental basis for the analysis of network structure in the different unit types.Third, describe ANSYS modal analysis algorithm of the free vibration frequency of space grid structure, and example conditions of different algorithm. Through analyzing the natural frequency of the two kinds of space grid structure, we can get the influence of element type and node processing to the space grid structure itself.Finally, according to the principle of transient dynamics, research on the seismic response of two models, enter the EL-Centro wave to analyze seismic load on the two models, and compare the maximum relative displacement and internal forcechanged under the two different element models under the seismic waves.
