The electric vehicle drive system test platform is different from the conventional motor test-bed, it is more than sufficient to meet the stability characteristics of the motor at a specified operating point. The electric vehicle drive system testing is a process control, the stability characteristics of the motor at a certain point can not represent the stability properties of the whole car, and therefore, it need to design and build the electric vehicle drive system test platform, simultaneously do the specification test of this platform according to national standards for electric automotive motor and its controller test specification.This paper focuses on the electric vehicle drive system test platform control algorithm. Through the analysis of the key technologies of electric vehicles and the basic situation of electric vehicle drive system, and on the basis of comparing the architecture of traditional motor test platform and its advantages and weaknesses, as well as the status of the test platform control algorithm research, designed the basic architecture of the electric vehicle drive system test platform, which including the motor and its controller design, power supply system design, communication system design and host computer data acquisition system design; through the analysis of the resistance of the electric vehicle which received in the process of the moving to built the electric vehicle model; through the speed curve of the test platform, using the software MATLAB to calculate the moment of inertia and friction coefficient of the test platform, meanwhile, to verify the practical significance of the torque measured by the torque sensor; and combines with the automatic control theory, to verify the test platform which can meet the torque rapid response requirements of the electric vehicle drive system; combined with the electric vehicle models and the moment of inertia theorem of the test platform for single-axis drive system, designed the control algorithm of the test platform of this electric vehicle drive system. Finally, through the software programming, it achieves the communication and control between host computer and the motor controller.
