Soil nailing, which is widely applied as a support technology for soil stability, has high economic benefit, high construction efficiency and reliable construction technology. However, because of its complex mechanical behaviors, the design and calculation theory of soil nailing lags behind the engineering practice.On the basis of others research works, the calculating method of soil nailing are studied, the main work is as follows:1. For the nail perpendicular or oblique to excavated surface,, calculation model is established respectively based on Mindlim solution according to its active force state and passive force state. On the assumption of consistent deformation between the nail and soil, skin friction solution equation of soil nail is established.Solving the equationthe skin friction along the nail, and then the axial force and displacement of the nail can be obtained. The corresponding calculation should be implemented by programming.2. An in-situ test of anti-floating bolts in Chengdu Wangwang commercial plaza was carried out. It’s found that the largest skin friction appears near the top of the bolt and then attenuate sharply to the end. Furthermore, the calculation results by the method in this thesis show good agreement the result of the test.3. On the basis of aforementioned work, a method to calculate, soil nailingsupported foundation pit is put forward and corresponding calculation program was wrote.The agreement of calculating result and measuring reslut of a foundation pit verifies the feasibility and practicability of the method presented in the thesis.
