With our country inland hinterland economy fast development, the inland river shipping as the bearer of inland hinterland and a cheap mode of transport has been rapid development. With the changjiang as an example, she is China’s first major river, she is a large artery of the East-West transportation, she is the important component of our country’s "a vertical and three horizontal plan". She is the China’s only transport channel which connects the eastern, the central and the western region. The changjiang waterway plays a decisive role in promoting coordinated regional economic, and she is known as "golden waterway". At present, the trunk line of changjiang rever has become the world’s largest capacity, transport busiest navigable river. With our national economy and foreign trade development, catchment of the changjiang river economic and social development of the changjiang river shipping to rely on degree will be more and more high, society for the changjiang river’s transpaotation services are high requirements. Waterway capacity is an important basis for managers to provide water transportation services.At present, many scholars have got lots of study on inland waterway capacity, and obtained certain research results, many by means of land transport related theory are applied to water traffic, these theories need continuous research work to carry on the revision and the consummation. Some researchers has carrrd on study the channel carrying capacity from the field of ship domain model in consideration of the ship safety, however, in the identification of ship domain model, they improved rattan model, or use radar image to determine the relative position between adjacent ships and measured the ship domain size. However, when these researchers got the ship domain, they failed to consider the effecs of wind and flow to ship domain.In this paper, in combination with the results of previous studies on the basis, according to the inland waterways and navigation features, using the ship wave theory and the turbulent zone research as well as inland river ship maneuvering theory, considering the effect on airflow field of ship under the influence, creating air flow under the action of inland river ships dynamic domain model with theoretical calculation way, calculate the ship domain on the changjiang River in typical waterway downstream Baimao ship, and use survey methodology to obtain driver’s subjective field of ship domain, and then Baimao channel model results and investigation are subjective ship domain were analyzed, and the calculation results of the model are optimized. On the basis of the calculation of channel theory through Baimao channel capacity. The results of this study on Inland River waterway navigation safety and typical waterway traffic planning has the certain significance. This paper mainly completes the specific work is as follows:(1) On the basis of wide range of relevant referances, this paper analysis the research of ship domain and channel capacity in domestic and foreign, and elaborates the method existence insufficiency.(2) In this paper, in combination with the results of previous studies on the basis, according to the inland waterways and navigation features, using the ship wave theory and the turbulent zone research as well as inland river ship maneuvering theory, considering the effect on airflow field of ship under the influence, creating air flow under the action of inland river ships dynamic domain model with theoretical calculation way.(3) This paper Select a ship to caiculate the established model. And obtain driver’s subjective ship domain by investigation, then the model validated calculation results and subjective ship domain driver were compared, and the model validation calculation results of ship ship wave interference simulation results are compared. At last the model is modified and optimized.(4) As the the typical segment Baimao waterway of Changjiang river for example, this paper using the modified model to calculate the ship domain of Baimao channel, and then established by calculating model for the capacity of the channel theory of through capacity calculation. At last the calculated results with the actual traffic police waterways were compared and analyzed, this paper got the conclution that Baimao waterway traffic flow is not reaching saturation.
