In the field of aviation, gas industry and ship, gas turbine is widely usedand plays a significant role as the core equipment. But because of poorworking conditions and complex structure, the gas turbine becomes a failureof sensitive site in the whole equipment system. Therefore, in order toimprove its operational reliability and reduce accidents, condition monitoringand failure prediction of gas turbine is particularly necessary. The research ofgas turbine is the core of this paper, and the mayor works are as follows:1. The paper investigated the failure of gas turbine, and categorized themonitoring parameters in the condition monitoring system of gas turbinebased on function. According to the gas turbine mechanical components andsystem features, the gas turbine was divided into13of systems, and studyedseparately. Then the failure mode causes and hazards which are based onrelevant literature were put forward and the corresponding maintenancerecommendations were given.2. Combining with the characteristics of gas turbine and using the fuzzylogic theory, a fault diagnosis method besed on vibration information of gasturbine have been proposed. Then the vibration fault of a gas turbine generatorwas diagnosed by this diagnostic method, and the results showed that thisdiagnostic method has high accuracy.3. The paper studied on the blade and impeller failure of gas turbinequalitatively and quantitatively. By researching of failure mechanism of thegas turbine blades, this paper established the fault tree analysis on gas turbineblade to analysis the blade failure. A model texting and numerical simulationof a gas turbine impeller was carried out, and the result was verifed that the accuracy of numerical simulation is high. Then this paper presented threeoptimized methods of impeller, and numerical simulation was carried out.This could provide the basis for the rational design of the impeller.4. According to actual requirements, the monitoring system of a gasturbine was developed. The system could collect the vibration data and theperformance parameters at the same time, and solved the PLC communicationproblem. The monitoring system was used on9sets of industrial gas turbine.The result showed that the system is feasible and reliable.This research could provide technological foundation for safe operation ofaircraft engines, gas pipeline compressors, cold-hot-heat power generators,and gas generator sets on offshore platforms.
