The automotive body was main component part of automotive; body assembly was a decided link of vehicle quality. During the production process, the deviation of affected assembly quality was inevitable. So the assembly quality must to be analyzed.In this paper, the assembling deviation analysis and optimization of assembly sequence are studied.First, the3D model of roof panel was created by using reverse modeling technology. The influencing factor of assembly information such as the structure, tolerance, assembling connection, restrained mode, assembling deviation was analyzed.Second, the model of roof panel was virtual assembled and the correlation assembly process was analyzed. Through the analysis of the assembly, the influence of assembly quality about deviation and sequence was got.Third, the minimum assembling deviation was regarded as criterion that judging assembly sequence. The body assembly sequence was optimized by using programming with the method of genetic algorithm. The influence of assembly sequence was analyzed about assembling deviation.At last, the characteristic distribution of deviation was statistical and analyzed with Monte Carlo Simulation method, the assembling deviation of the roof panel was analyzed by the relevant software. So the optimal tolerance allocation plan was obtained.
