The development of Smart Grid is heavily dependent on the ultimate expression of Smart Distribution Grid. Electric energy has been increasing attention to business and social users as a clean energy. Power supply on a high plane has become widespread requirements in modern society. While the construction and development of Smart Distribution Grid is just following the thought, the key elements of which are the capacity and assurance of the continued power supply."Strong" and "Smart" are the two main routes of power distribution building in our country, which are the technical features to realize information, automation and interaction. The building of Smart Distribution Grid in China is still at primary stage. The main research topics at this stage are: grasping the ever-changing power supply, real-time tracking and finding the abnormal grid, solving the problem of power supply reliability, even the realization of rapid response for real-time monitoring, predictive failure, timely isolation and so on. The main purpose of this thesis is to recommend a Smart Distribution Grid communication network model, which is more suitable for our country by comparison with the engineering practice and technology, to meet the requirements of Smart Grid.The flexible and reliable net of correspondence is the basic guarantee for realization of the Smart Distribution Grid. This thesis starts in the construction of distribution grid testing, based on different network model in fiber EPON, power line carrier, wireless communications, offers the networking suitable for the large and medium urban of our country, which is used to support the building of Smart Distribution Grid by a large number experimental data, comparative analysis of the technical differences, the scale of investment, network stability, etc. Currently, the state grid corporation of China applies various network shapes, different technical performance, varied amount of information collection in the communication network throughout the pilot. According to this thesis research and analysis, EPON optical network is large investment, excellent network performance but very susceptible to external damage; power line carrier network equipment can be used in poor environment, moderate investment but easily influenced by the distribution network; wireless communication network is quick and easy installation, small investment, but difficult to apply the frequency and easily influenced by the climate. In this thesis the author recommends to use hybrid network model according to engineering facts. Make the best use of the advantage and bypass the disadvantages, in the appropriate places to use the specific technology. It can borrow ideas from these methods and discussion for other cities.This thesis proactively expounds and proves the requirements and technical challenges of the distributed energy access communication network bases on the trend for development of Smart Distribution Grid. This is the reasonable extension of the application of this thesis, is an effective complement to the technologies of the communication network, also is the practical problem in the upcoming distribution grid development. This thesis puts forward a certain forward-looking framework in the performance and networking, which offer some reference for future similar projects.
