The Research On Planning And Design Of A Community Park In Changsha City

Community park is a park green space which is related to city residents’ daily life.It is not only a resting place for the general public, but also an important form of urban afforesting and greening. Changsha city has paced the whole nation in establishing community parks,21community parks have been established in2-3years.However,there exists many problems in design of Changsha’s community parks: unreasonable space planning, outdated facilities, unwarranted demands of special Population, a variety of activities not being carred out,limited greening area, single tree species and so on. Aiming at these problems, how to design a practical community park and to meet the needs of social development is the foothold of this study. The following is the main content of this article.(1)This paper investigates the community parks in Changsha city, analys problems exiting in construction of community parks, and discusses the direction of planning and design of community parks.(2)In view of the present situation of the construction of Changsha Community Parks, the characteristics of community parks were pointed out.A community park brings togher functions of leisure. recreation, landscape, ecology, education and appreciation.It has a public open space pattern, compound function space, clear and warm atmosphere, natural multi-level environmental space and ideas of ecological construction from beginning to end.(3) This paper put forward methods of constructing a community park from two angles of planning and design.The function of community park planning and design is researched in planning aspect.and the analysis of current situation, overall design and detailed design are researched in desgin aspect.Through the above research. this paper proposes concept classification and geographical features of a community park, summarizes principles and method of planning and designs, and design two community parks in Changsha city.which offer the theoretical direction for development of community parks and city construction.
