| Recent years, the trend of increasing global climate change and the international community needsaggressively develop renewable energy generation, reduce carbon emissions, protect the ecologicalenvironment and alleviate the energy crisis for China. Wind power is one of the most important types ofrenewable energy, the wind power industry has a high speed development due to a series of developmentpolicy has introduced to China in recent years. The two main industrial belts constitute a giant "入" shapedwind power industry in Northeastern China; Importantly, the small and medium-sized wind turbineproduction capacity of the units, the output value, profit tax, and export volume etc. has had a rapid growthin China. The development of wind power industry has brought us huge economic, social andenvironmental benefits.This paper investigates application of small scale wind power system. During the study, small windpower system is divided into four operating models of two main types:(1) household wind power systemoperating in off-grid model;(2) household wind power system operating in grid-connected model;(3)household wind power system operating as a member of DG in micro grid system, off-grid model;(4)household wind power system operating as a member of DG in micro grid system, grid-connected model.The various parts of the wind power system have been made an intensive study in theory,mathematical models and Simulink models are established for small wind power in the Matlab/Simulinkenvironment, some improvements of the inflexible model of Simulink blocks library are made as well.Establish system model based on the four operation styles of household wind power system is operated andthen analyses the simulation results. The simulation results show that energy storage devices play a veryimportant role in off-grid household wind system operating alone. That is, the system is able to providecontinuous and stable electricity when it is windless, the output voltage and current waveforms to the clientis smooth, and the requirements of client can be met. If household wind power system is unable to supportthe user’s load, when the system is operating in grid-connected model, the Relay switches can switch topower grid accurately to provide reliable electricity to the users. Wind power generation as a distributedpower applications to DG systems can also run well, both off-grid and grid-connected status can providestability energy to a single user, a village or a district. The simulation results keep consists with thetheoretical analysis, verify the correctness of the model established in my study and the feasibility of theprogram. |
