With the needs of economic construction and the acceleration of industrialization level, Bridge Crane, an important equipment for material production and handling, has been widely used in production workshop, warehouses and other places. Although Bridge Crane was designed based on the traditional allowable stress and limit state method and it could meet the demand, the great deadweight and materials waste always exist. The emergence of modern design methods speed up the development of the crane design. There must be a more realistic significance that how to reduce manufacturing costs, improve market competitiveness under the premise of satisfy the engineering requirements.Based on the finite element method, using ANSYS finite element analysis software, the article took a virtual simulation calculation to the32t Bridge Crane in the computer. Though established the finite element model of the bridge crane, studied on the static and dynamic analysis and optimization design, the article provided a reference for the design of the bridge crane, the main research contents include:(1) According to the structure and stress characteristics, the crane was reasonably simplified, and then a crane parameterized finite element model was established. In the paper it made a static analysis under different operating conditions, so as to determine the maximum stress and maximum displacement of the main girder cross-section under the most dangerous conditions. At the same time, the rationality of the model had been verified, and it could provide the basis for the subsequent optimization design.(2) This thesis set up the optimization mathematical model of the main girder, optimized the design of main girder under the requirements of the strength and stiffness, and then the best optimization sequence was provided. And it verified the rationality of the main girder structure after optimization design.(3) The thesis analyzed the dynamic characteristics of the crane with the reduced method, extracted its8-order natural frequency and the corresponding modes when the car was fully loaded in the main girder midspan, and verified that if the optimized crane could meet the requirements of the dynamic stiffness, at last, analyzed the effect on the crane natural vibration characteristics from the additional strengthening ribs.
