In China there is huge number of fuel dispenser, and every single day thousands of tonsof oil are sold by the fuel dispenser. So the fuel consumption is huge as well as the powerconsumption. And because the gasoline and the ethanol gasoline are volatile medium, whichhave high saturated vapor pressure and low dynamic viscosity, they will impact the fueldispenser’s pumping and measuring performance in the processing of transport the gasoline orethanol gasoline by fuel dispenser. And that will easily cause the lower pump efficiency,higher measurement error, and serious environmental pollution.In order to improve the pump efficiency and reduce the measurement error, this papercombines the theoretical analysis, field test and matlab software simulation to research thefuel dispenser.Firstly, test the system’s pump efficiency under the laboratory condition, and thenanalyze the influence factors of pump efficiency, that tell us the two main factors are lowviscosity and high pipe resistance. After that, optimize the system components including thepump overflow valve, solenoid valve and fuel gun. And the optimizations not only reduce thepipe resistance, cut the unnecessary energy waste, improve the pump efficiency, but alsoreduce the manufacturing difficulty and cost, reduce or even eliminate the water hammer,improve running stability and service life of the system.Secondly, analyze the influence factors of measurement error, and find out the two mainfactors are the oil flow rate and dynamic viscosity. And then study the temperature influenceto measurement error in the two factors, and the result shows if the temperature changes, theoil dynamic viscosity will change, and that will change the internal leakage both of the pumpand the flow meter, and then drift the characteristic curve of the pump and flow meter, andfinally affect the system measurement error. So on the basis of these studies, this paperpresents a method which can realize the adaptive control of the system measurement errortemperature compensation based on frequency conversion fueling mode, and that means wecan achieve the optimization control of measurement error.
