The Hot Summer Warm and Winter Zone, which is located in the low latitude area,it isrich in solar radiation.With the comprehensive effect of the solar radition and temperature, theheat transferred through the roof is much more than any exterior wall or floor for the top floorroom.Therefore,improving the heat insulation performance of the roof will lower thebuildings’energy consumption and inhance thermal environment inside the building.In thispaper, the ventilated roof was studied to find out its heat insulation performance in differentweather conditions and measures to improve its performance.The temperature in different positions of the water pipes roof in a small experimental cellroom was measured for14days in summer.Besides,the solar radiation intensity,the reflectedsolar radiation intensity of the roof,outside wind speed,the water temperature at the inlet andoutlet of the water pipes roof were also measured. Qualitative analysis of its results, the mainanalysis of the Water pipes roof include different structures, different amount of water,thechange of indoor and outdoor climate conditions show that the thermal performance of Waterpipes roof. Experimental results show that the Water pipes roof insulation works well whenthe laying of water pipes in the concrete structure is superior in the leveling layer, and thelarge amount of water through the roof insulation is conducive to heat dissipation.The computing software CFD was used to further the study..A model was set upaccording to the full size of the experimental cell room and the boundary condtions were allset based on the measured data.It is proved that CFD Simulation is a feasible way to go on thestudy on the effects of the roof structure, such as length of the roof, size and distribution ofthe inlet on the performance of the Water pipes roof. Several measures were also suggested toimprove the performance of the water pipes roof.According to the characteristic of the water pipes roof, this paper advanced someopinions to improve their thermal performance. And it would give some advice to buildingdesigners in choosing the roof’s construction and material in the Hot Summer and WarmWinter Zone.
