With the development of science and technology and the progress of society, socialproduction and life to the demand of electric power increasing, the requirement of powerquality is more and more high, and the network also has a variety of operational risk, causesof the trip, it may affect the quality of power supply, even endangering the safety ofelectrified wire netting. With the development of material science and technology, resin andglass fiber composite materials in the production process and technical progress, compositematerial has high strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, easy fabrication, light(low density), the advantages of good insulation properties become more prominent, hasgradually replaced the wood and metal alloy, widely application in the aerospace, automotive,electrical, construction, fitness equipment and many other industries. In order tofundamentally solve the traditional transmission line using steel as the main material to bringthe problem, domestic and international related research units and institutions are activelycarry out the composite tower applied research work.This article through to the composite material physical, mechanical and electricalperformance test to test its performance analysis in high voltage transmission line and itsapplication prospect, at the same time for further study of composite material pole tower intransmission line effects on application, be designed for110kV transmission line single-circuitand double-circuit line tower type and complete type test, with net running conditions. Tofurther promote the application of transmission line tower composite materials to providetechnical support, to solve the long-term problems of power system lightning protection,anti-pollution two problems has important sense; and it will promote the domestic productionof composite materials technology and the further development of technology. Therefore,transmission line composite tower has important application value in engineering, researchsignificance and economic benefits.
