In a variety of failure modes of gas or liquid material package, leakage is the most direct and most serious one. Leakage is defined as gas or liquid escape from or into the package through cracks, pores on material or small gap between two materials. The internal causes of leakage are defects and deviation of the shape and size of package formed during the processing and manufacturing, and the convective trends as a result of the pressure difference from inner side of the sealing package to the out side. The external factor is the impact of environmental conditions and management and operation of logistics. Therefore, the research on sealing performance of packages must be integrated into materials, structures, temperature, pressure, and fluid properties etc. There are both linear factors and nonlinear factors included. The most effective way to address such a highly complex issue is the finite element method.CAD software was used building models at the beginning, and then multi-physics coupled simulation with ANSYS software was conducted to carry on analyzing and test on the possibility of leakage and leaking behavior characteristics of packaging contents of package with defects exposed to multiple factors of varieties environment conditions. The feature information including cloud charts of the deformation process of package in the role of temperature and pressure factors was obtained, the same with fluid behavior during the leakage process. The multi-field coupling simulation of the finite element model forms the main parts of the thesis. The pre-treatment process and the solving process were discussed, including the choice of element type, the division of the grids, the setting of contact, the transfer of load, the setting of solver and so on.Through simulation test, academic data with reference value was collected in a way more economic than the physical experiment. The data obtained can be fed back into the package design process, so as to provide a theoretical basis for modification and optimization of the product. The simulation test can significantly reduce costs over the process of product design and optimization and modification, so as to further enhance the research and development capacity of enterprise and competitiveness of their products, maintain and improve the business operations, sales and credibility, thus create more benefits for the enterprise.
