The pipeline is one of the essential infrastructure in people’s life; the pipeline layout is fairly complex in cities and enterprises. With the development of economic and society, pipelines have laid more and more. However, with the increasing of pipelines, management of pipelines also became a difficult problem.This thesis introduces the important role of pipelines in people’s life and analyzes problems in pipelines management; according to the current research status of pipelines management system, the study analyzes existing problems in the current pipelines management system, and the importance of topology analysis function in the pipeline3d visualization management system.This thesis carries on a further research in view of topology analysis function of the pipeline3d visualization management system, and implements successfully the pipeline topology analysis which does not rely on any pipeline management system developing platform and makes analytical results real-time display in virtual reality developing platform, specifically including:Firstly, based on the introduction of graph and network, this thesis mainly focuses on the discussion of network analysis method, expounds the common network analysis applications, and puts forward this article’s topology analysis method and implementation technology of analysis results.Secondly,Obtaining key point data of the3d pipeline’s center line; and aimed at dense key points problem of the pipeline center line’s arc, redrawing the center line’s arc;designing the reasonable data structure, to integrate the optimized the center line data of the pipeline.Thirdly, according to graph and network analysis technology, combined with data features of the pipeline center line’s key information, designed the topology analysis method, using C language program to realize this method. Take a pipeline as an example, outputed all relevant pipelines. Finally, in virtual reality development engine Virtools platform, builded dynamically the pipeline topological space model, to realize the show of pipelines topology analysis results in the example.
