Wall thermal insulation for building energy conservation is one of the mosteffective way, including the selection of insulation materials and its thickness.Theincrease of exterior wall thermal insulation layer thickness,although can reduce theenergy consumption of the air conditioning,but actually increased the heatpreservation material in initial investment,so from the perspective of economics,existthe best thermal insulation layer thickness and make the construction total cost(construction and operation fee) minimum.In this paper, according to the life cyclecost theory,study the best exterior wall insulation layer thickness of two inorganicinsulation material include rock wool and vitrified small ball.Establishing the residential building model and proved its universal,usingTRNSYS simulation software,studying the external wall thermal insulation layerthickness changes from20mm to100mm,the residential annual energy consumptionand their energy saving changes under hot summer&cold winter, hot summer&warmwinter, cold, severe cold four climatic region. Then analyze the building life cycle listdata of different climatic zone and different insulation materials. Finally calculate thedirect cost and life cycle cost targets for external environment best thermal insulationlayer thickness, and compare the different thickness of the best climate region.Through the study, conclusions can be concluded: energy-saving of the externalwall thermal insulation has a close relationship with climate. the maximumenergy-saving of exterior wall thermal insulation is in cold region, the minimum is inhot summer&warm winter, external wall thermal insulation for different climatesresidential quarter by the great energy to small order is cold, severe cold, hotsummer&cold winter, hot summer&warm winter, the largest energy saving is4.4times binger than the smallest energy saving. For the same climate region, with theincrease of the insulation layer thickness, Its energy consumption of the residentialbuildings and the environmental impact reduced gradually.Two kinds of material inthe coefficient of thermal conductivity are different, but the life cycle energyconsumption and CO2emissions by heat preservation material has a little influence onthe thermal performance; In severe cold region, life cycle energy consumption andCO2emissions by heat preservation material thermal performance of big effect.Application of concrete hollow block, energy conservation target50% premise,consider the environment after cost, in hot summer&warm winter, hotsummer&cold winter, the cold, severe cold region, the rock wool best thermalinsulation layer thickness were20,60,70,100mm. In hot summer&cold winter zone,consideration the environmental cost of the insulation layer thickness bigger thanconsideration the direct cost of insulation layer thickness.The results of this paper studies can provide a reference basis of the feasibility ofusing in the different climatic conditions, and optimized parameters for design ofecological architecture and building energy-saving.
