In the contemporary, vehicles develop towards safety, energy saving,environmental protection. Pure electric bus plays a significant role in environmentalprotection and energy saving, and meanwhile lightweight development also gets moreand more attention from people. As the bus body is the main load-bearing structure,aluminum bus body is used to reduce the weight of the body and have greatsignificance in improving vehicle performance and increasing mileage.There are a lot of Experiments and design in the classical research of bus, whichwould waste lots of time and cost. As the unique structure and characteristics,thealuminum bus body cannot be devised in the traditional way.With the development of finite element theory and the software, finite elementanalysis technology has been applied to the vehicle research and development. Itplays a key role in shortening the development cycle, reducing the cost of researchand development, optimization of body structure, increasing performance of bus bodyand the lightweight examination etc.Currently, the research of aluminum bus body is a Difficulty in the world. It ismore important that research the aluminum bus body by finite element theory,todecease the risk of Development.This article mainly aims at the lightweight of bus body frame, the main researchcontents are as follows:Firstly, finite element model of full load bearing aluminum bus body. Base on thephysical properties and characteristics of aluminum bus body, predigestion of finiteelement model of aluminum parts has been done, which aim at the Efficiency andAccuracy.Secondly, performance analysis of bus body structure. Analysis of workingconditions include: bending condition, limited torsion condition, left turningcondition, and emergent braking condition. Some data are calculated, such asstrength,stiffness of aluminum bus body. The shortage of aluminum body structurecan be found to Improving the bus body structure.Thirdly, the improvement and optimization of aluminum bus body structure.Based on the topology optimization and analysis of the bus body, improve thestructure and connection of aluminum bus body. The aluminum bus body get lighter, and then the performance of the new bus body has been check.The final all-aluminum bus body has a high stiffness and strength. The Bodyweights2316kg. Compared with the original full-bearing steel body, lightweightextent has attained41.95%. Lightweight effect is satisfactory.
