The skeleton is the bearing component on the passenger car,and the various loads received by the vehicle will eventually be transmitted to the skeleton of the vehicle.Therefore,the performance of the skeleton structure is directly related to the success of the vehicle design.When modeling the skeleton,the finite element method(FEA)is used to analyze the performance of the skeleton structure.And then we can optimize the skeleton structure based on the analysis results in order to enhance the market competitiveness.Such as reducing the weight of the skeleton and the costs of design and manufacturing,and enhancing the market competitiveness.The aluminum body frame is the main solution of light-weight bus structure at present.However,due to the influence of material strength,process,cost and analysis method,etc the research on aluminum body bus in china is less.This paper discusses the strength and reliability of aluminum body frame structure of bus based on the design and strength analysis of pure electric bus.Based on the combination of theory and practice,this paper puts forward and discusses the weight reduction plan of large pure electric bus by using a variety of design techniques,comprehensive strength,weight,process and other factors.The large bus with the passenger standing area belongs to the M3 class bus,which is mainly used for urban operation.The development of large buses is focused on reliability,practicality and economic.In order to meet the market's requirements for economy and environmental protection,After sufficient market research,Using the lightweight design concept,the 12-meter with full-load and low-floor pure electric city bus was designed and developed.The vehicle adopts the design of overhead battery,low floor,airbag suspension,right door opening and with 27+1seats,which uses the Carrier chassis design to increase the standing space inside the car.Subject to local regulatory requirements,the weight reduction structure is adopted to improve the economy and competitiveness to meet the needs of customers.This paper discuss the development trend and current situation of Bus weight reduction all over the world.And design goals for market conditions.and Then it discusses the selection of materials and process plans,design modeling,Structural analysis,design optimization,etc.finally achieved the weight loss goal and successfully passed the reliability test.
