In recent years, with the rapid development of industry and agricultureproduction, the pollution of Xiangjiang River water becomes increasingly serious.Excessive growth of algae along the Xiangjiang River basin has become a commonchallenge facing the source water. Researching reasonably and effectively method toremove the algae is the urgent needs of drinking water purification. This paper hasdiscussed the characteristic of Xiangjiang river algae and its removing technology,through deeply research into Xiangjiang river quality to develop a suitable purificationprocess, it may provide references for the future safety water supply engineeringconstruction or existing water plant reform.This paper analyzes the main feature of Changsha source water algae anddiscusses the influence of its environmental factors. The results show that each yearfrom March to April and October to November are high incidence season forXiangjiang river water algae. Diatoms, green algae and hidden algae are maincomponents in high algae season source water, and count a ratio of90.3%of totalalgae number. Phosphorus is the main limit factor for water eutrophication, thetemperature changing of the water decides the advantage algae types, adequateillumination provides favorable conditions for green algae growth.Four combinations process on water plant algae removal efficiency were studied.The results showed that under the condition of the experiment, four combinationsprocess both have certain effect on remove algae. conventional treatment, ozoneoxidation, biological activated deep processing combination process; Pre ozoneoxidation, conventional treatment and biological activated deep processingcombination process; Taoli biological filter pretreatment, the conventional treatmentand activated carbon depth treatment combinations process of algae; Taoli biologicalfilter pretreatment, the conventional treatment and ozone activated carbon depthtreatment combinations process respectively have a algae remove efficiency of91.8%,91.2%,84.7%and92.7%.Research in the ozone oxidation by-products of bromate removing process hadbeen done. The results show that the type of activated carbon filter can influence ofbromate removing ability. The ozone oxidation process before to effectively controlthe ozone oxidation by-products of salt in the feasibility study was also investigated, determine the former ozone oxidation reasonable ozone dosing quantity, that less thanor equal to1.5mgO3/L dose maybe a suitable dosing quantity.
