With rapid development of commercial vehicles, the demand for power, economy, comfort, as well as reliability, are higher and higher, for domestic commercial vehicles, especially highway transport trucks. With the improvement of performance and compact structure for the engine in large power heavy-duty vehicles, thermal load and mechanical load of cooling system are increasing in general, which is a serious challenge for the matching and layout of engine cooling system. This thesis mainly deals with a new reforming measures through analyzing the matching of cooling system as well as components, and simulation optimization of compartment arrangement of the problems with high temperature in water and overheat in engine compartment in certain heavy-duty vehicle of Hua Ling Automobile Company, with the new project earring out, the result shows that the heat dissipation capability has been improved, and vehicle performance has been enhanced.According to the cooling system selection method on heavy-duty vehicles, the radiator and fan are selected in line with the vehicle and engine parameters. The matching result is calculated and the cooling constant and boiling inlet temperature are checked. So the optimization matching program of the cooling system is designed.The simulation about cabin thermal management is made on basis of the matching of cooling system. The three-dimensional model is established with ProE software. When the model is meshed and related mathematical model is studied, the boundary condition is set. The running experiment is carried out, and temperature distribution of the cabin is measured. The model is calibrated in order to ensure the validity. Then the boundary condition and model parameters are changed according to the bad conditions. Then the flow field and temperature field are simulated and calculated. According to the airflow and thermal circumstance, the cause on structure and layout affects airflow and heat dissipation capability is analyzed, and the improved program is put forward.In the condition that the boundary condition of the truck is constant, several measures are raised to improve the airflow and heat capacity, including expanding inlet area, leading airflow and ensure exhaust smooth. The cooling system and cabin layout satisfy the vehicle requirement, which play an important part in the reliability of vehicles. The work supplies effective means for the improvement of cabin thermal management, the cut of construction cycle and cost reduction.
