Bearings are widely used in variety of machinery. The performance of bearing lubrication plays an important role in the stability, security and economy operation of rotating machinery. With the large-scale, high-speed development direction of the modern rotating machinery, the analysis and optimization of the lubrication performance also becomes increasingly important. This paper focuses on the numerical analysis and optimization design of the lubrication bearing. The main work and results are summarized as follows:(1) By analyzing the lubrication theory of fluid lubrication to establish Reynolds-equation which is the basic of Lubrication characteristics’research. Use MATLAB to calculate the numerical solution of Reynolds-equation. Point out the relationship between lubrication and Bearing’ parameters.(2)Analyze the forces and instability mechanism of the rotor-bearing system. Summarize the happening regulation of oil whirl and oil whip with the variation of sensitive parameters. Propose some control methods of oil whirl and oil whip.(3) Optimize the sliding bearing from the aspect of fuel consumption, temperature, and the carrying capacity. First, use GA to made single-objective optimization. Then use single-objective optimization Data to made multi-objective optimization. To achieve the bearing’s overall performance’s Optimal.
