Based on the performance experiment of LJ465Q gasoline turbocharged engine, this article completed the matching technology and intercooling technology research on LJ465QR turbocharged gasoline engine.In order to achieve higher performance promotion, which was to increase the maximum power with40%, the maximum torque with41%, and to reduce the minimum fuel consumption with8.2%, the LJ465Q was optimized to LJ465QR. The LJ465QR turbocharged model was set and calculated by the software of AVL Boost, and the turbocharged experiment scheme was determined based on performance parameters of LJ465QR turbocharged model.The matching design of LJ465QR supercharger was achieved and the matching parameters of LJ465QR supercharger were got. The designed results showed that, when the performance of LJ465QR achieved the turbocharged experiment scheme, its maximum inlet flow was0.0675kg/s and maximum compression ratio was1.55. The design supercharger should be able to offer larger inlet flow and higher compression ratio.The AVL Boost was used to conduct simulate calculation to complete the pressure control study of LJ465QR supercharger. And the open position of wastegate was adjusted to control inlet flow and compression ratio. In order to achieve the turbocharged experiment scheme of LJ465QR, the maximum compression ratio must reach1.55and the maximum mass flow of wastegate must reach0.021kg/s.The optimal design of LJ465QR intercooler was completed. The intercooler used air-cooling and its cooling cell size was400mm×168mm×80mm. After being calculated by CFD software, the design of LJ465QR intercooler was optimized and determined.According to the results of turbocharged matching design, LJ465QR supercharger components were selected and the construction of LJ465QR was reformed to build the test bench of LJ465QR turbocharged. The external characteristics experiment of LJ465QR was completed and its results showed that, the experiment of LJ465QR turbocharged could basically achieve the anticipation, with the maximum power increased43.3%, the maximum torque increased34%, and the fuel consumption reduced9.7%. The maximum torque did not increase as desire, for the reason that the wastegate was not well controlled and regulated at high speed and high load area, reducing the performance of LJ465QR at low speed area.
