| Since the world’s first steam-powered ship emerged, mechanical ship propulsion system using thermo-motor to directly drive propeller has held monopoly position in marine power plant. However, there are such problems difficult to solve as high environment pollution, noisy, low flexibility and small speed range in marine internal-combustion engine propulsion system. Simultaneously, since global oil resource is about to depleted and oil price maintains a high level, internal-combustion engine using gas as main fuel will gradually quit the stage of history. People must find new alternative energy and its power plant in the remaining decades. This is one of the great problems and challenges which human face in the21st century. Therefore, mankind has been trying to explore and study new energy and use patterns with low environment pollution as well as high efficiency. This article aims at fuel restriction of motor vessels and practical needs in reducing emissions from inland shipping, synthetically analyzes certain inland waterways and ship forms, set up several solutions about application of promoting form of new energy in different waterways and ship forms.This paper is divided into four parts. First of all, article collects and arranges data about current mainstream new energy, studies their fundamental principles, parameters, existing problems and so on, to fix the subject investigated. According to their development status and technical features, their application prospect is analyzed. Secondly, several certain inland waterways are studied, and some certain ship forms sailing in certain waterways are synthetically discussed. Based on geographical conditions of ship channels, ship flux, certain ship form’s parameters, operating features and ship routes, ship forms are refined and classified. Then, directing at different waterways and ship forms, combining with integrated conditions and technical restrictions of new energy, this article gives out solving plans about promoting form of new energy, and resolve some key problems. Feasibility analysis is carried out according to realizing costs, environmental protection performance, infrastructure arrangement, attachment related. Besides, based on technical characteristic of urban electric traction locomotive and electrified railway system, this paper puts forward a marine electric propulsion system which uses catenaries system and electric traction mode, realizes its attended mode in flexible support conditions, resolves some technical problems, and gives out overall evaluation at last. |
