With the development of automobile industry, the popularization of automobiles is increasing. In the city of private vehicles, the proportion is more and more efficient and convenient to the people, car to bring a lot of benefits. At the same time, the incidence rate of traffic accidents are also gradually increased, how to guarantee the traffic safety? Based on a lot of traffic accident investigation and theoretical research, the engineers found the running safety of the vehicle and tire are closely related to the situation, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS, Tire Pressure Monitoring System) has become the research hotspot in the automobile industry.Tire pressure monitoring system (Tire TPMS Pressure Monitoring System), mainly used for tire pressure real-time monitoring, the monitoring to the tire condition can be alarming, even warning, in order to ensure the driving safety of drivers. With the awareness of self protection and continuously strengthen and relevant law laws and regulations appearing, more and more people begin to pay close attention to TPMS, also makes this technique in recent years there has been a great development:from initial to compare tire speed tyre pressure estimation of indirect type TPMS to the now widely research on sensor measuring the direct type TPMS.This thesis introduces the TPMS system principle, frame structure and the application of technology status and development trend of research on TPMS design; involved in source coding, modulation, antenna, Doppler effect and so on many key technologies; and to the specific application environment as the starting point, the tire positioning/relocation, antenna design, software and hardware design of low power consumption and so make a certain degree of innovation:combining theory, gives a detailed battery direct TPMS system hardware and software project development process. In a laboratory environment for the whole system to do the hardware and software test, test results show that the system design of the main indicators have reached the design requirements.
