Hydrogen energy is one of the new energies that become the pillar energyof next generation most possibly, and the hydrogen fuel cell with advantagesof clean and effective is the most ideal hydrogen energy using style in the21stcentury. Because of the structure characteristics of itself, electric energyproduced by hydrogen fuel cell is always with problems such as outputcurrent-voltage characters relatively soft, power changed obviously and so on,so we have to transform and stabilize the output voltage of hydrogen fuel cellfirstly in order to supply power for back-end circuit and load steadily andefficiently. Therefore, it has important theoretical significance and practicalapplication value to research high-efficiency and stable DC-DC converter forameliorating the output power characteristics of the hydrogen fuel cell andimproving the utilization rate of electric energy produced by hydrogen fuelcell.Based on the research of hydrogen fuel cell’s structure, operatingprinciple and modeling mechanism, the steady and dynamic lumped parametermodel of hydrogen fuel cell was built by the half mechanism and halfexperience modeling method, and use Matlab/Simulink simulation softwarebuilt a2kW hydrogen fuel cell simulation model to research the output powercharacteristics of hydrogen fuel cell through the simulation. According to the research results, compared many kinds of DC-DC converter topology structure,choosed the Boost circuit and the Boost add full-bridge circuit as the maincircuit topology, designed single-level and two-level DC-DC converter uponthe BUCT2kW hydrogen power reactor to transform10~15V unstable directcurrent produced by hydrogen power reactor to stable48V and110V directcurrent.The hydrogen fuel cell and DC-DC converter collaborative simulationresult showed that the DC-DC converter designed in this paper could realizethe function of boosting and steadying voltage as the same time as ensure thehigh conversion efficiency, it ameliorated the hydrogen fuel cell output powercharacteristics effectively and applied to the power conversion system for the2kW hydrogen fuel cell.
