With the fast development of the social process,population structuralization isincreasingly becoming the focus of social adjustment. Meanwhile, the problem ofpopulation aging brought by the high developmental pace is also turning into a moreand more serious problem, which has become a popular research project favored bypeople from all over the world.At the beginning of the21st century, China officiallyjoined into "this group". As a result,problems such as how to deal with the the pensionproblem for the old and how to provide a convenient social place for them to enjoy theexcellent care of the society are of great value to be paid attention to and studied.This research paper is mainly designed to accomplish the theory of the designingof the intercourse location built for older people living in certain communities. Aftercollecting as well as analyzing and observing the statistics, conducting questionnairesurveys, on-the-spot investigation and so on, by researching in the respect of theirphysical and mental conditions and the features of their behavior in outdoor activities,we bring up the analyzes of the curative effect and compatibility of this project, and atthe same time we put forward the modified plan based on the analyzing of the presentproblems just in order to probe deeply into the factors, dimensions and locations of theproject place. And our purpose is to make these old people become more easily adjustedto the new environment and have the sense of security and belonging in the communitywe are about to design. After a thorough observation and analyze of the activities ofthese old people, we will present all kinds of outdoor space for them to exercise andcommunicate such as the rest space, fitness space and boundary space as well as therelationships between these. Meanwhile, we’ll sum up some designing measures whichnot only can satisfied the basic necessities of common citizens, but also will show theexcellent care offered especially for the old. Based on all these above, by combing thefundamental realities of our country, we’ll contribute our own opinion in order to bringsome valuable information to the design of the outdoor space built especially for oldpeople.
