Population aging is the important background of current social economic development and urban planning.Due to non-regeneration of the industrial and mining resources, most of mining cities are faced with resource depletion and have to transition. In the process of renewing industrial and mining city, city aging causes a series of social problems, its influence on urban spatial structure and the association of aging of the population also become the hot study topic recently. Research shows that urban aging presents the phenomenon of spatial heterogeneity, which many elderly people gather in the old town of the city in contrast with the new urban area of the city go into a state of diffusion, and the diffusion degree is greater than the concentration degree. However, due to the influence of industry transformation, the community aging of industrial and mining cities have a slightly different with general city. This article selects the typical industrial and mining city-Xuzhou as the research object. Through the investigation of the community aging population, we study the relationship between space aging of urban communities and community population aging and analyze its internal causes and related factors. By using Excel for data processing and Spss19.0 for relations analysis, analyzing the results through the regression analysis to establish the mathematical model. The results show that the mining city space of the community aging and aging population presents obvious linear relationship,The community space and population is aging. These factors such as limitations of mining residential building space and environment、poor community planning、lack of public service facilities、Community endowment concept result in this kind correlation. That is to say, the community space and population is aging that occur in industrial and mining city is an accidental phenomenon under certain economic, political and cultural background. However, the phenomenon of this correlation is closely related with the spatial structure of urban population. It is also found that the community space aging of industrial city and the aging of the population have similarities and differences, which has a profound impact on development of cities and urban planning in the future. How to solve the still needs further exploring innovation.
