The both ends seal mechanism in the Pillow packaging machine is the importantpart of the whole machine; it directly affects the performance of the packaging qualityand aesthetic value. So the study on the motion characteristics of the both ends sealmechanism is of very important significance.This paper takes the SE-5000A-BX pillow packaging machine for example, themain contents of research as follows:(1) Analysed the components of the Pillow packaging machine and the motioncharacteristics of each, focused on the principles of motion of the both ends sealmechanism, established the model of the dynamical system of the both ends sealmechanism based on Solidworks which is one of the3D Modeling Softwares,eliminated the interferences, ensured all components reasonably assembled.(2) Imported the solid model which could be reduced to the space double crankmechanism into software ADAMS and defined the attachment constraint of the motion,finally, performed simulation analysis of the model kinematics, obtained the curves ofthe displacement,velocity, acceleration, angular velocity, angular acceleration relativedto the time of the key components, the results shew that at the moment of the packagingmachine working normally, the heat sealing and cutting off of the boths end sealmechanism are all keep up with the package film’s conveying and discharging.Verified the rationality of the multi-body dynamics model.(3) Conducted the stress analysis and theoretical calculation of the axis in bendingand torsion synchronously, verified the strength and stiffness of the axis is enoughtheoretically. and established the finite element model of the axis in the both endssealing mechanism based on the finite element analysis software ANSYS, obtained thestress and strain of the axis on operation loads based on the statics analysis, found outthe dangerous crosses, verified its stiffness and strength can meet the load requirements.According to the study of the both ends seal mechanism in the pillow packagingmachine, this paper explores a set of computer-assisted software method to invent andmanufacture the packaging machinery, and provides reference for such problems.
