As the increase of the automatic level in people’s living and industrial production, the need of high reliable electric power supply becomes very important. Because of the increase of the voltage level, enlarging of the production scale, increase of the automatic level, the level of the real-time monitoring, control and management in power plant must be continuously increased. In power plant, the operation management level of electrical devices is vital for the security, economy and competition in electric power market.ECMS in power plant is a real-time computerized monitoring, control and management system, which is designed to increase the automation, operation and management level of electrical system in power plant. By the application of computer, measurement-protection, control, field-bus and communication technique, the functions of electrical operation, fault information management, failure diagnosis electrical optimization are realized.This paper introduced the current status electrical system of power plant and analyze the shortage of electrical system in power plant brought in DCS. Then the improvement that founding the electrical supervisory control and management system in power plant realized the electrical system networked On-line brought in DCS.Based on the analysis of electrical system’s specialty and the system function demand, the hardware structure of Electrical supervisory control and management system in power plant was designed. Then on the basis of the hardware structure, the software system was developed. The practical operation results show that the system feasible and reasonable.
