Feng Shui is an important part of traditional Chinese culture, it is to be summaried where is the best residence from the ancient working people for a long time in a natural environment. Its practical significance is comprehensive natural environment,such as sun, sunlight opography, hydrology, climate and geographical conditions, create the most beneficial environment of the production of human life through the clever design technique so as to achieve the profit and avid loss enjoyment,and make human body comfortable, which is widely used in cities, villages, housing and the location of the graveyard and building.This paper focuses on the scientific and rational theory of the Feng Shui, with examples focused on how to applied in modern landscape planning and design. Article first overview of the ancient tradition of Feng Shui theory system, then its reasonable elements were analyzed and summarized from the scientific point of view of modern geomagnetism, geography, behavioral psychology, and finally combining with the actual case, summed up these legitimate factors in the modern garden specific planning applications. The main content of the paper consists of three parts:The first, the origin, development, classification and basic concept line factions of the Feng Shui are described, and the combination of modern science, from geography, hydrology, meteorology, behavior, psychology from multiple perspectives, such as the science of feng shui reasonable component system analysis, finally returns to classical garden case, analyzes on the feng shui location, layout and structure of the leading function.The second,On the basis of the third part of the first two parts, the basic principles of Feng Shui theory, under the guidance of garden planning and design, the concept of "form", observing, the "gas", according to local conditions. Focus on large combination of ambience and local micro-climate, all aspects of the environment into account, in order to provide a certain amount of know reference for the contemporary garden designers.In short, through in-depth analysis on the theory of Feng Shui in the traditional culture, its essence, to its dregs, recognize and carry forward the reasonable part of the scientific and trying to apply it to the guidance of the modern landscape planning and design, making it both conducive to efficient use of environmental resources, but also better profit and avoid loss, the guidance of mankind to create a better livable environment.
