Application Of Historic Context In Modern Urban Landscape Design

At the present time, we humans have already entered industrial scale production stage of the21st century. As modern people, we should clearly realized that urban history and culture are real precious treasure and should be cherished and protected. According to the above research background, this paper mainly probes into the model and design methods of historical and cultural elements in landscape design and make a perfect combination of both through expounding the importance and inevitability of historical and cultural elements on urban context and spirit construction, thus to make the city can complete the major mission of inheriting and reproducing its traditional historical context and show its regional features. We should make the developing direction clear in urban landscape design, and aim at constructing modern landscape design with city features and pay attention to the important role of history and culture on the urban landscape development, thus to avoid rigid practices and "the same outlook of every city" and design the works that are fit with regional culture and city features, and lead chinese landscape industry to grow healthily and favorably. Furthermore, it should be based on aboundant history context of one city to construct excellent urban landscape with its own feature. To highly refine and simplify the elements that conform to the city spirit by deeply mining and research on human civilization, and make them be representative meaning symbols which are appropriate to the landscape design.
