Study On River-Front Landscape Of Regional Urban

River is the cradle of civilization since ancient times, four great civilizations of human originated in the river basin. In recent years, In order to promote the development of urban economy, enhance the image of the city and provide better public activity space for people, local governments invested a large amount of money to renovate rivers and build water-front landscape of the city. Water-front areas became the focus and hot spots of the city development once again. However, in this building boom, appeared landscape which regardless of the regional and local culture, building mechanically. The urban landscapes tend to be the same, and cities lose their characteristics, which go against the long-term development of cities.Based on the theory of water-front landscape and regional theory, this paper choose Taiyuan Fenhe Park as the object of research, use the research method which combined theoretical with practical, and discuss the regional urban riparian landscape as follows:First, we studied the development background and present situation of riparian landscape. Second, we analysed the content and scope of the research of urban riparian landscape. Third, researched and summarized the concept, background and basic elements of regional. Fourth, we discussed the advantages of regional theory and how to reflect regional into the water-front landscape. Fifth, based on the study of the theory in front, combined with Taiyuan Fenhe Park, we studied the design method of regional water-front landscape detailedly. This paper tries to analyze the internal relations of urban riverside landscape design and the regional characteristics, makes regional theory become the theory basis and the guiding ideology of urban riverside landscape design. We hope that this study can provide an important theoretical basis and practical experience for the urban water-front landscape design in the future.
