The Study And Practice Of The Waterfront Landscape Optimization Of The Fenhe River In Linfen City Zone

Acting as the most complicated area with a variety of the natural elements of the city,city riverfront area has a very important position and role in the urban landscape system.Recently, under urban population’s strong demands on healthy and ecological landscape ofriverfront,many cities have started construction and renovation of the riverside arealandscape.Consider of the the ecological status and resting function of the city riverfront area,we have to implement ecological restoration as long as design adapted landscape.By doingthese, not only the ecological environment of the city riverfront area can be soundly conserveand repair, but also the leisure and recreation needs of urban residents would be fullymeet.Some water space landscape of developed cities have been given good evaluations. Butoverall,China’s waterfront space landscape is still at a low level, facing many difficultproblems, such as ecological imbalance, too much emphasis on functionality, improper use oflandscape design elements, similar look of landscape, lack of historical and geographicalexpression as well as insufficient theory on building national waterfront. Therefore, studyingmore systematic theories on waterfront landscape, using practical experiences from theactual cases to enrich the theoretical system, guiding waterfront landscape design withrelevant scientific theory, have extremely significant meaning on enhance the waterfrontarea landscape design.Combined with relevant practical experiences and theoretical researches, this paper havesummarized and analyzed relevant theories on waterfront landscape planning and design. Itsystematically expounded the concepts,features, advanced concepts, design principles andmethods of waterfront landscape, which can be used as theoretical basis and guidance onimproving waterfront landscape designs. On the thorough investigation and careful analysis ofthe Fen River riverside green space flowing through Lin Fen, this paper proposed improvedplanning strategy for the current problems existing at riverside green space. The mainconclusions from the study include the following aspects: (1)At the theoretical level, by analyzing related practical experience and theory of thedomestic and international waterfront construction, this paper summarized the publicopenness, complexity, particularity of waterfront landscape. It described three main designconcepts including functions have priority concept, following ecological requirementsconcept and highlight the geographical context concept. It also summarized severalfundamental principles when coming to design waterfront landscape, such as principles ofsafety, respect for nature, highlighting the geographical context and enriching functions.(2)Through investigation on green space of the Fen River riverside at Lin Fen segment, itanalyzed problems existing among the landscape elements. It was found out that the greenspaces organized disorderly and there are not enough guides between each landscape nodes.Part of the Regional Plant Landscapes lack of hierarchy and only have few colors. The roadsystem, lack of guidance and spatial organization.(3) By digging the natural and cultural environment elements of Fen River basin flowingthrough Lin Fen, this paper proposed the overall planning orientation, function orientation,ecology orientation and cultural orientation in connection with all aspects of regionalenvironmental characteristics.(4) Make enhancing landscape design of Fen River urban section riparian and putforward the "one axis with three belts and eight districts " to optimize the overall structure ofthe program, each enhancing design strategies were proposed for all the eight districts.Focusing on the vegetative landscapes’s issues, proposals were offered from two aspects whichare community landscape and landscaping plant selection.Put forward to build an orderlylandscape cultural context, and discussed the context of landscape construction method.According to current situation of the road system, improved suggestions from three aspectshave been made, respectively, to strengthen the traffic guidance, to promote interestinglandscape space and make organizations reasonable. In addition, several major landscapenodes enhance planning and design were made in details.
