The extradosed cable-stayed bridge has been considered as a new type of structure in recent20years,whose mechanie characteristic lies between continuous rigid frame bridges andcable-stayed bridges. The extradosed cable-stayed bridge has distinctive characteristics,handsome in appearance and well suited to the mountainous terrain and the performance ofthe route alignment requirements.This paper take Longjing river bridge in Guizhou provinceas engineering background it is the first curve extradosed cable-stayed bridge in our country.we analyse extradosed cable-stayed bridge’s structure design and static and dynamiccharacteristics,which reveal its mechanical properties’ similarities and differences betweencontinuous rigid frame bridges and cable-stayed bridges to provides technical support forchina’s future design and construction of this bridge type. The main research content andoutcomes are as follows:(1) First of all, this article summarize the origin and development of the extradosedcable-stayed bridge, then detailed describe domestic and overseas’s extradosed cable-stayedbridge’sstructure form to provide reference data for the curve extradosed cable-stayedbridge’s structure design and mechanical analysis.(2) By summarizing linear extradosed cable-stayed bridge’s main stress components of thegirder, bridge tower and pier structure form, Put forward curve extradosed cable-stayedbridge’s main stress components in key points design. Summary of extradosed cable-stayedbridge’s structure system form and the cable-stayed decorate form, to provide a referencevalue for extradosed cable-stayed bridge’s design.(3) Through the comparison of continuous rigid frame and the extradosed cable-stayed bridgewith two options,we ultimately determine the extradosed cable-stayed bridge scheme. Thenwe talk about Longjing River Bridge’s natural conditions, programme design, constructionand key technical issues need to be addressed in detail.(4) By comparing the extradosed cable-stayed bridge,continuous rigid frame bridge andcable-stayed bridge’s the difference of performance in the static load and dynamicperformance,we come to know the difference in stress aspects between extradosed cable-stayed bridge and the traditional bridge. Through the structure checking computationsof the extradosed cable-stayed bridge, we draw a conclusion this design feasibility in practice.Under above investigation could much references be provided for the design andconstruction of a kind of curve extradosed cable-stayed bridge in China.
