Automatic train operation system not only possesses the automatic control of train operation and lightens the burden of train drivers ability, but also improves the performance of train operation under the premise of ensuring the safe operation of train. Many researchers have paied more attention to automatic train operation system, and lots of research results have been obtained. As train operation is very complex and easily affected by environmental factors, it is difficult to find a precise mathematical model. Fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithm integrates fuzzy logic and generalized predictive control algorithm. The requirements of this algorithm on the controlled process model is very low. Using this algorithm can further improve the steady-state accuracy and reduce the dynamic error of the system. Based on it, the paper adopts fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithm for automatic train operation system. The influence of the line factor to train speed is weakened or eliminated by the compensation of fuzzy control variable. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can achieve the desired results.This paper focuses on the following aspects of study.Firstly, the paper analyzes the architecture, functions, performance indicators of automatic train operation system, and concludes the most time-saving strategy, the most energy-saving strategy, the hybrid optimization strategy and optimized operation principles of automatic train operation system through the studies of automatic driving strategy.Secondly, the paper introduces the basic theories of generalized predictive control, the fuzzy control and fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithms. The paper designs the speed controller of automatic train operation system based on fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithms, and establishes the train movement model and line model.Finally, the paper carrys out simulation of speed controller based on fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithms and implicit generalized predictive control algorithms with MATLAB. The simulation results demonstrate the application feasibility of fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithms for automatic train operation system. The simulation results prove that the speed controller based on fuzzy generalized predictive control algorithm not only can optimize the security, parking accuracy, punctuality, passenger comfort, energy efficiency and other properties of automatic train operation system, to some extent, it can weak the impact of environmental factors on the train speed. So, the speed controller designed in this paper has good transportability.
