In recent years, with the advancement of the national energy conservation strategy,power companies are facing a very severe test in the energy saving. Now power plants are notonly power enterprises, but also consuming large electricity, so all power plants are exploringthe problem to make its application of the new energy-saving technology more effective andmore reasonable. So that they can achieve a certain economic and social benefits in the future.Most of the auxiliary equipment in thermal power plants are using exit barriers or adjustthe door on the flow of the refrigerant throttle, but there is a lot of energy loss, which alsocontributes one of the reasons for high energy consumption of thermal power plants. Based onthe analysis of domestic and foreign high-voltage frequency control technology developmentand application of the status quo, This article further elaborates the principle of high-voltageinverter. What’s more, combining with the actual production of the Power Plant Co., Ltd.Guangzhou, this article provides the inverter transformation program on the water supplysystem of our company: To determine how to select the way of energy-saving of the watersupply system and the choice of the transformation of the pump; how to set pressure controlvalue of the water supply system; how to select the equipments on pump high-pressurefrequency transformation. On the basis of frequency devices technical drawings provided bythe manufacturer,this article gives the frequency conversion engineering design of thereconstruction project, including the design of the wiring design of a system, the design ofprotection of the inverter unit DCS interface, the design of frequency converter and its powerswitch configuration, the design of ventilation and air conditioning design and so on. At thesame time this article introduces the methods of the pump inverter debugging. Finally,according to the analysis of the actual operation of the transformation of the water supplysystem frequency, this article offers the best operation mode options, and map out the curveof the water supply system’s electricity consumption as reference to the adjustment of theoperating mode, which is made of the different combinations of pump, and analyze effect andother benefits of the frequency transformation of energy-saving.
